The Las Vegas Percussion Collective features four of Las Vegas’ premier
percussionists who, collectively, have played in many of the major productions on the Las Vegas Strip for the last decade. Lead by Dr. Alex Stopa, the group brings percussion instruments to the forefront, performing music that highlights the versatility and musicality of the percussion family in a fun and educational setting.

The Las Vegas Percussion Collective feature a wide range of percussion instruments including marimba, vibraphone, glockenspiel, drums and percussion of the symphony orchestra, and lesser known ethnic percussion instruments. Concerts typically feature works for percussion solo, duo, trio, and quartet, and showcase a wide range of musical styles and influences by composers from all over the world.
The marimba and vibraphone offer the greatest opportunity for the modern-day percussionist to explore melodic and harmonic music, and Las Vegas Percussion Collective often features works for one or both of these instruments. When combined with various drums and other percussion instruments, audiences are often surprised by the wealth of sonic possibilities that can be produced using only percussion instruments.
The Las Vegas Percussion Collective offers educational, engaging, and entertaining performances that highlight the beauty and versatility of modern-day percussion instruments and share with the listener the fascinating history and development of percussion into the 21st century.
